Museum AfterHours is an opportunity to grab a beer, explore the Museum of Life and Science and hang out with your friends... without kids. Some of our events are themed around a topic like beer, coffee, chocolate or wine. Other events are more about exploring what we have to offer at the museum! You can always expect beer, food trucks, music, to learn something new, and a good time. We're also totally open to new ideas so let us know what you'd like to do at the Museum AfterHours!
Join us as we visit the cultural hot spots in and around the Triangle and the world! No place on the globe is too far away!! … Board gaming; RPGs; TCGs; watching anime/sci-fi/fantasy/horror movies/tv shows; going to local museums or geeky happenings; that sort of thing. We aren't constraining the group to activities of a dorky nature, though. Hiking, rock climbing, dance classes, non-geeky movie watching, book discussions, going out for coffee, dinner, or drinks... if it's fun we're probably up for it and can set up a meetup to get folks together for it. My wife and I moved to Durham back in 2009 and would love to meet …

Our meetups include: book discussions, movies, live music, trivia nights, plays, museums, dining out …

Dads with all aged kids are welcome. It's time to show the kids how dads do playtime. I'm thinking miniature golf, soccer, maybe a paddle boat race at Shelly Lake, a few trips to some museums or the zoo, hiking a few nature trails, or setting up our tents for camping. This is not a self-help group. This is a group for dads that want to get out and do something active with their kids.
