… We will try to put together an event each week and members will get to know and interact with everyone attending while enjoying a favorite activity like happy hour, dining out, theater, movies, outdoor activities like hiking, biking etc, sporting events, museums etc. Members are welcome to post ideas for future meetups and help host the event planned around their idea.

… I"m also the Tai Chi Meetup Organizer, and right now am swamped preparing for World Tai Chi & Qigong Day, where we hold a free Tai Chi teach-in on the South lawn of the beautiful Nelson-Atkins Art Museum, and then do a mass Tai Chi exhibition together between the giant shuttle cocks. We'll be part of a global wave of Tai Chi & Qigong exhibitions being held that same day worldwide in hundreds of cities.

Both the suburbs and the city have a wide range of venues for dancing, dining, entertainment, exercise, etc. I am currently the organizer of JoCo Happy Hours - it's events are mainly centered in Johnson County. I created the "KC Metro Area Social Group" to provide a wider geographic range for events. I am open to having "assistant organizers" for different areas of the city.
