We are lucky to live in a city that has a wealth of museums, cultural events and artistic venues.
This group is designed to bring people together who enjoy going to museum exhibits and experiencing other cultural events. We meet at local museums and all sorts of other venues to discover what wonderful things Houston has to offer in art, culture, history, science, education, performances, film, and other experiences that create such a colorful palate of life in a big city! Often we will meet afterward to discuss the exhibit over lunch, dinner or tea.
There is so much going on that we are always looking for people who want to head up their own events, so if you don't see anything that you would like, but would like to plan something, just give the Organizer a buzz, we're always looking for assistant organizers to help --- There are so many wonderful things to experience in Houston - let's share what we know!
Families with children are welcome! Museums, art, and culture are about discovery, exploration, education and celebration of creativity and history. From time to time, there may be an exhibit or movie that is not age appropriate. I will leave it to the parents to review each event and make this determination on their own.
Also, I encourage our members to use the Discussion board to spread the word about cool events and things!
It is with regret that I announce that Kathryn, the group founder has stepped down as organizer. Over the last couple of years, Kathryn has built a strong group. She is going to focus on other things now but luckily she has agreed to stay on as an assistant organizer. Please join me in thanking Kathryn for the time and care she has dedicated to getting this group up and running. She has planted a seed that will continue to thrive and grow.
Support a Meetup group while getting exposure to active, local members.
