I'll be at the front entrance to the Museum - vs. the University class section-- which is located on Mass Ave., NW -- at the southern end of the building-near the big pink sculpture outside.

The art work represents various media -- video, slides, photography -- showing artists' view of Israeli life from a social, political, and aesthetic point of view. Great way to get a sense of another country without the jetlag. This was a geographically expanding trip close to home for me!

(This exhibition, which coincides with the 60th anniversary of the founding of Israel, is a collaboration between the American University Museum, the Center for Israel Studies and the Naomi and Nehemiah Cohen Foundation.)

It was briefly reviewed in the Sat. April 26 Style section of the Washington Post.

Location:
The Art Center is at Ward Circle, where Massachusettes and Nebraska Aves. meet. It's about a mile west from Tenley Metro going west on Nebraska Ave. The Museum provides details at:

    •  Very good exhibit, small number of pieces but all were very well done and very illustrative of the current state of culture, politics etc. AMU Kratzner Museum is a nice intimate space, I liked it a lot.
    •  An interesting exhibit. Thanks, Aline!
    •  Aline, as docent and organizer, opened our eyes and thoughts to concepts that we might not have given any thought to. This was a great meetup.
    •  Great eveent -- I never would have visited the exhibit on my own. Good discussion too.
