This is a cross post from the NY Museum Group which is organized by Lois. I am not sure if I will attend but it sounds like a nice outing:

The museum closes at 6PM. We can go the Sarabeth Kitchen which is housed in the Whitney to have a bite after the exhibit. If we get there at 2PM and look around for an hour and a half we can then go to the cafe at 3:30. The Cafe closes on Saturday at 4:30 so that gives us an hour to chat and have something to eat. The admission price for the museum is $15. for adults, $10. for seniors 62 and over and $10. for students with a valid ID. I think this will be an interesting and educational experience. Hope you can attend. This museum has one of the largest exhibits of American Art in the world. Also it has the largest Alexancer Calder exhibit in the world.
